Hawaiian Airlines Unaccompanied Minors: Restrictions and Exemption

Certain travel restrictions may be imposed by Hawaiian Airlines’ unaccompanied minor policy, such as –

 

    • Unaccompanied minors are not permitted to travel on the flight, which may be diverted to another airport.

    • Furthermore, children are not permitted to travel alone on a flight that may be delayed.

    • Unless the request flight is the last flight of the day or the travel is on a flight operating out of Honolulu, the airline will not accept Hawaiian Airline unaccompanied minor service between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

    • Unaccompanied minors will not be accepted if the connection time is more than 2 hours or less than 1 hour, unless the requested flight is the last flight of the day.

    • The airline will not accept unaccompanied minors on flights with an overnight connection.

    • On codeshare or interline agreement flights, minor travel is not permitted.

    • Unaccompanied minors are not permitted to travel on the extra-comfort fare. In addition to the unaccompanied minor fee, they can only be booked in economy or first class.

Hawaiian Airlines Minor Travel – Departing and Picking Up the Child

Follow these steps when you send your kids on the Hawaiian to make sure they have a safe trip. Parents or guardians of a child must:

Drop Off: When you drop off your child, do the following:

 

    • Bring kids between 5 and 11 who don’t have an adult with them to the airport.

    • Fill out the form for unaccompanied minors.

    • Keep your child’s ID and other paperwork close by. Hawaiian Airlines’ policy for unaccompanied minors says that the documents must be correct.
